I saw Mr Khakha through the Dreadnought unit at Guys hospital he did my partial knee replacement, what a wonderful man, not only did he mend my knee he gave me a whole new lease of life, two months after my operation I was able to go on holiday to Scotland and walk without pain something I hadn't done in a long, long while. I must also mention his bedside manner, he put me at ease straight away, he even popped in to see me just before i was knocked out, he also visited me several times during my two day stay in hospital. I can't recommend him enough, not only a brilliant surgeon, but a really nice man.

I was referred to Mr Khakha, because a previous knee replacement was giving me pain, it was lose and moving. My leg was bent out and knee very swollen, it had never gone down from first operation. My expectations was that Mr Khakha could straighten my leg. He was very clear on what he would have to do to make my knee right. He did say he could straighten my leg. He was really understanding and caring. my expectations were met, he did straighten my leg, my knee is only slightly swollen and I can deal with that. For the first time in years on holiday this year, I walked for miles and hours, without a stick or any painkillers. Before I could only walk for about half hour or an hour when pushing it, and would have to get taxi back to hotel. I feel so much better in myself, now. Just being able to run for a bus feels good. I couldn’t have done that before. My advice for others would be to continue with exercises as it’s all to easy to give up. I bent my leg to the pain barrier, then pushed a little more each time, you do feel the difference. My goal was to bend my leg up as far as my other leg and I can. It was hard, but I just persevered. Mr Khakha gave me back my quality of life and I can’t thank him enough for that. So again Thank You.

I took my mum to see Mr Khakha for a second opinion. He is a breath of fresh air compared to other surgeons we have seen. He makes you feel completely at ease not just by his kind bedside manner but also because he clearly knows his stuff. He took lots of time whic was really kind as he had a full waiting room. He didn’t advise surgery for mum which was really reassuring as the other surgeon said she needed it urgently. There is no doubt that should the time come he will be my mum’ choice for knee replacement and absolutely my choice as well. I can’t recommend him enough.

Dr Khakha assisted Prof Wilson during our sons experience and what was obvious prior to his op was his heightened empathy, experience and professionalism on show throughout. He made our son feel at ease and explained the prcocedure in a way we could all easily understand. You couldn’t ask for a better team.
